Matt Wheeler- VP Employee Benefits/Shareholder- Holmes Murphy

Matt brings nearly 30 years of industry experience and subject matter expertise to client and team collaboration. Matt is responsible for retaining and attracting customers by focusing on specific customer strategies, problem solving for unique customer challenges and leaning into our Care Code to serve all stakeholders.

Matt graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. In addition to his education, Matt has earned his Group Benefits Association (GBA) designation.

Kelly Kimmel- Branch Bond Manager- Old Republic

Kelly Kimmel is Bond Manager at the Kansas City Contract office. Kelly joined Old Republic Surety in 2020. With over 12 years of experience as both as a broker and underwriter Kelly has developed a high-level of understanding around the complexities and unique challenges that contractors face. Working closely with AEC firms to understand the important steps successful contractors have taken to help mitigate risk and provide needed facilities to operate at a high level. Kelly has her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Kansas.

Luis Martinez- Associate Producer- Lockton

As a producer with Lockton, the largest privately held insurance brokerage firm worldwide, Luis specializes in providing tailored insurance solutions for construction and design firms across the nation. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges and risks faced by the industry, I have successfully secured and managed comprehensive coverage for numerous clients, ensuring their projects proceed smoothly and securely.

Luis graduated from Rockhurst University with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Accounting.
